Why Wendelmoet
Wendelmoet was a courageous Dutch woman who gave her life for her beliefs. In 1527, after her arrest, she fearlessly spoke her mind before the magistrates, refusing to compromise her convictions. Her unwavering honesty led to her execution for heresy, but her legacy endures as a symbol of bravery, truth, and resilience.
Her name represents the courage to challenge societal norms, confront taboos, and stand firm in one's values. Women throughout history have often been expected to conform and stay silent, but Wendelmoet's story inspires us to break those barriers. At She-Music, we honor her spirit by amplifying voices, fostering solidarity, and paving the way for a bold and inclusive future.

Some of us perform on stage, others thrive in studios, and many work behind the scenes to make music possible.

Our paths are diverse—some are students, some are seasoned professionals, and others are carving their way through uncharted territory. We are solo artists and team players, quiet thinkers and bold speakers, meticulous planners and free-spirited creators.

But despite our differences, we share common ground: our love for music and our desire to uplift and empower women in the industry. Together, we aim to break barriers, foster connections, and create a platform where every woman’s contribution to music is celebrated and recognized.
